The McLaughlin Group was great fun today. Eleanor Clift, Lawrence O'Donnell, and McLaughlin himself absolutely POUNDED on Tony Blankley and Pat Buchanan on the Bush/Cheney "cheap trick" of misrepresenting Kerry's "global test" statement. McLaughlin asked, who won the debate?

Pat Buchanan: John Kerry, going away.

Eleanor Clift: Amen.

Tony Blankley: Kerry won on style, but it remains to be seen what is the public opinion.

Lawrence O'Donnell: It's very clear who won the debate. I said last week John Kerry was going to win this debate, and win it hugely, and I was right.

McLaughlin: You're right.

At the end, McLaughlin predicted we would be seeing more in the coming days a "presidential stature gap." Love it.
