AN UNPOPULAR WAR

Fahreed Zakariah is saying on This Week that Iraq is now an unpopular war. We've had two other unpopular wars, Korea and Vietnam, he says, and in both cases the political party associated with the war lost the presidency, and in neither case did the challenger have a "plan." Eisenhower said, trust me, I will go to Korea and fix things. Nixon said, I have a "secret plan" to end the war. Fahreed believes that events on the ground in Iraq will determine who wins the presidency in 2004.
