Bill Berkowitz.

An interesting question: Are the Bush administration scandals so profuse as to make it impossible for Americans to process them? Does their very proliferation nullify popular indignation and demands for accountability?

I've been thinking this alot. I mean the Katrina failure, under normal circumstances, would still be front page scandalous news, but there's been so much since then.

As we careen from incident to incident, there is never any real investigation after the first few articles are written.
